Sunbather killed by City of Madison truck identified
MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- The Dane County medical examiner's office has released the identity of a 38-year-old woman run over by a city of Madison truck while sunbathing.
The truck was driving on a grassy area of James Madison Park when Karen Remington, of Windsor, was struck May 23.
The medical examiner's office said Monday that a preliminary forensic autopsy indicates she died of injuries she received from the motor vehicle.
The Wisconsin State Patrol had sent a crash-reconstruction team to investigate. The team was trying to determine what the truck driver may or may not have been able to see as she came over a small hill and struck the victim.
A message left there Monday for an update on the investigation was not immediately returned.
