Vilas County authorities investigate lake death
TOWN OF ST. GERMAIN, Wis. (AP) -- Authorities in far northern Wisconsin say a 23-year-old man who jumped into a lake late at night and blacked out has died.
The Vilas County sheriff's department received an emergency call Saturday about 11:15 p.m. The caller said a man had dived into Lost Lake from a dock and lost consciousness.
Emergency officials responded and took the man to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His name hasn't been released.
The sheriff's office and coroner's office are investigating.
