Florida hosts Marquette in SEC-Big East Challenge
GAINESVILLE, Fla.- Florida will host Marquette as part of the Southeastern Conference and Big East men's basketball matchups next season.
The Gators and the Golden Eagles play Nov. 29 at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center in the annual SEC-Big East Challenge. Each league hosts six games over three days.
The Marquette-Florida game will air on one of the ESPN networks. Tipoff time will be determined later.
Florida defeated Marquette 68-58 in the Sweet 16 round of the 2012 NCAA Tournament. Marquette holds a 2-1 all-time series lead, with both Gator losses coming in a home-and-home series in the 1970s.
