Glendale neighbors having light Memorial Day after home explosion
GLENDALE- Two people remain hospitalized after a Glendale home exploded Saturday.
Instead of celebrating Memorial Day with picnics and barbeques, neighbors near 4835 N. Iroquois Ave. are continuing the clean up that mess. "It's almost like you want to stay home and nearby just to make sure nothing else happenes, cause it give you an unsettling feeling," said neighbor Nancy Pfannerstill."
Other neighbors told TODAY'S TMJ4 they're emotionally drained following three long days after Marvin Engler's house exploded into a ball of flames Saturday night. They are hoping their summer starts very diffrently next season. "Next year we can look back and hopefully we can look back and celebrate the way we use to," said neighbor Ramona Sledge.
The investigation into what caused the home to explode is expected to get underway Tuesday.
