MADISON - Weather concerns have promprted officials to cancel Sunday's marathon in Madison.

While the calendar shows May, it may certainly feel more like mid-summer as the temperature rises above 90 degrees Fahrenheit Sunday.

The heat, along with rising humidity decided it could be too dangerous for runners.

Last weekend, a marathon in Green Bay was halted in the middle of the race because of heat and humidity.

About 20 runners were hospitalized.
