Wal-Mart thefts land Wisconsin Rapids man in prison
WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. - A plot to steal goods from Wal-Mart stores across Wisconsin and then sell then on Ebay has landed a Wisconsin Rapids man in prison.
The Wisconsin State Journal's website reports 42 year old Robert Moran has been sentenced to 21 months in prison.
Moran pleaded guilty to stealing more than 78-thousand dollars worth of merchandise from the Wal-Mart stores in Plover, Wisconsin Rapids, Wausau and Marshfield between May 2009 and June 2010.
U.S. District Judge William Conley says Moran has six prior convictions for theft and burglary.
