MILWAUKEE- Governor Walker is playing up his record on reforms and jobs and trying to down play the rhetoric on the John Doe investigation that hangs over his campaign as the recall election is less than two weeks away.

He sat down with TODAY'S TMJ4's Charles Benson.

Charles Benson: "Do you think you have been up front with voters about the John Doe?"
Governor Walker: "Yea. I've talked about this more than any other politician in Wisconsin history. But as the mayor and other lawyers know as your are cooperating with something like this you've got to follow the rules."

Governor Walker told TODAY'S TMJ4 he has said all he can legally say about the John Doe investigation into his former aides while he was county executive.  He hopes voters will see his record on this issue and not the rhetoric.

"Look at my record as lawmaker -- look at my record as county executive and as governor," said Walker.

But Democrats want Walker's campaign to release the thousands of emails that were turned over to prosecutors and to disclose who is funding his legal defense fund.

Charles Benson: "Do you feel like there's this dark cloud hanging over you?"
Governor Walker: "Well not dark cloud..I feel like more than anything it's like fighting a fight with both hands behind your back."
