Packers QB Rodgers won't make Madden '13 cover

GREEN BAY - The cover of Madden '13 will not have the quarterback of the Green Bay Packers after all, meaning he may avoid the supposed "Madden Curse."
Panthers quarterback Cam Newton and Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson are the finalists in the vote for the cover of the latest edition of the popular video game.
"Thanks to all our packer fans that voted for and against me in the madden voting! Happy Wednesday!" said Rodgers on his Twitter account, hashtagging the phrase "curseavoided" in his tweet.
Not one player who graced the cover of Madden since 1999 has won, or even played for, a Super Bowl championship that season.
Seven Madden-cover players suffered injuries during those seasons.
