OSHKOSH, Wis. - More than 100 members of the Wisconsin Army National Guard have been told they're heading out soon.

This will be the fifth time since 1990 that the Oshkosh-based 1157th Transportation Company has been called to active duty.

The troops leave next month for a convoy-security mission in Afghanistan.

Presently, the Oshkosh Northwestern reports the soldiers are on a week's leave from training camp in Mississippi.

While there, retired Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre stopped by to say hello, sign autographs and pose for pictures.

The troops are to report back to camp on Monday for final preparations.
