Man arrested for 11th OWI
LADYSMITH, Wis. (AP) -- Wisconsin authorities say a driver who made a dangerous pass by a stopped school bus and was later found passed out in his car has been arrested on a tentative charge of 11th-offense drunken driving.
Charges against the 58-year-old Altoona man are pending in Rusk and Chippewa counties.
The Wisconsin State Patrol says a school-bus driver in Rusk County had stopped Friday afternoon when she noticed a car passing the bus on the right. She closed the bus door in time to prevent children from stepping in the car's path.
A Duluth News Tribune report (http://bit.ly/GWZE5G ) says the car hit a mailbox and kept going. A witness was able to get the license-plate number.
Chippewa County deputies later found the vehicle with the man passed out inside.
