More UW-Parkside students expelled in connection to racial threat hoaxes
KENOSHA- More students have been expelled from UW-Parkside in connection to a series of racial threat hoaxes.
Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth says expelled student Khalilah Ford admitted to investigators she hung a noose in a dorm building and then later wrote a fake hit list targeting other black students to get attention.
Several weeks following the incident, the sheriff says two additional students, who no longer attend the school have been questioned in copycat incidents.
Parkside Interim Dean of Students Cindy Graham would not confirm the number of students expelled from the school citing privacy concerns. Sheriff Beth says the high profile nature of the case has made it difficult for people to come forward.
He expects to have the investigation wrapped up shortly, but would not commit to a timeframe.
