Driver killed in fiery tanker crash identified
ROBERTS, Wis. (AP) -- The driver killed when a tanker truck caught fire on the interstate near the state border was transporting gasoline from Minnesota to Wisconsin when the crash occurred.
The Wisconsin State Patrol says 51-year-old Todd Richardson, of Colfax, worked for Kane Transport of Sauk Centre, Minn.
He was traveling from the Twin Cities to central Wisconsin Monday when the tanker left Interstate 94 near Hudson, traveled through the median and struck a bridge before catching fire.
The St. Paul Pioneer Press (http://bit.ly/AknDvD ) says the crash remains under investigation.
