Two hospitalized after crashes leading to highway closure in Dodge Co.
WATERTOWN - A Dodge County Sheriff's sergeant says that rescue crews have taken two people to a hospital after a series of crashes Tuesday morning.
The crashes, which happened at about 6:15 a.m. Tuesday, led to the closure of both directions of State Highway 26 at the crash scene near County Highway Q.
The sergeant told Newsradio 620 WTMJ that one crash involved a vehicle going northbound which went over the center line and crashed head-on into a southbound vehicle.
Another vehicle went off the road at that crash scene, while a fourth vehicle crashed, causing property damage, all in the same area.
The sergeant mentioned slippery conditions in the area as a possible factor in the crashes.
There was no initial word on the severity of the injuries caused by the crash.
Crews have since re-opened State Highway 26.
