The President Visits Milwaukee
Sen. Johnson claims Obama policies bring 'fear' for business owners
MILWAUKEE - As President Barack Obama speaks in Milwaukee at a company that is adding jobs, a Republican senator from the state claims that those jobs are coming despite the President's policies.
"With President Obama going to Milwaukee and visiting Master Lock, it does remind me a little bit of the rooster taking credit for the sun rise," said Senator Ron Johnson to Newsradio 620 WTMJ.
"As a manufacturer and a job creator whose made decisions to hire and expand a business, it's no mystery to me what has slowed our economic recovery."
In Johnson's view, the President's policies have created uncertainty and a lack of confidence among business owners.
"Consumers aren't spending, and business owners have a basic fear."
Senator Johnson calls Mr. Obama's plan to raise taxes on the wealthiest Americans an "assault on success, and his strategy, his very overt strategy of class division, class warfare."
