CAMPBELLSPORT - Speed may have been a factor in a deadly crash in Fond du Lac County early Saturday.

Two teenage girls are dead, seven other teenage girls are injured.

The fire department says the vehicle is a large SUV, that could hold up to seven people

The girls had packed nine into it.

The accident happened at about 3:30 Saturday morning when the driver lost control north of Hwy 67 off of Beechnut Drive, just west of Campbellsport.

The SUV went into a field.

Two flight for life helicopters, multiple ambulances and fire departments were called to respond.

Two of the injured are at Froedtert Hospital this morning, and 5 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.

  1. What in God's name were all these teenage girls doing out at 3:30AM??? :(
  2. So sad and tragic, and I'm sure their parents are thinking of all the what if's and why's. I've also heard that now there are 4 who have passed. My heart goes out to all the families and friends. Parents, keep track of your children.
  3. Blondee, couldn't have said it better myself. As a mother of 6, 3 which are grown now, the IQ of teens lowers 20 points for every additional teen in the car. No teen girls belonged out at that hour. Recipe for tragedy. Very sad.
  4. My prayers to family and friends. Were seat belts being used, and did the driver have a restricted license?
