MILWAUKEE- Brewers fans are fired up tonight after the announcement Ryan Braun will not be at the "Brewers On Deck" event this weekend.
When Brewers fans arrive at the Frontier Airlines Center this weekend, their MVP will not be here:, the latest fallout from Ryan Braun's possible suspension.
You could hear the disappointment on sports talk radio tonight.
As one fan said on Newsradio 620 WTMJ's Sports Central, "If he (Ryan Braun) didn't do anything wrong and he didn't feel he didn't do anything wrong, I don't know why he wouldn't go."
Also on Facebook, where Ben Middleton wrote "LAME! He should still show up. He is a part of the team. Braun should be there."
At Miller Park, the faithful gathered at TGI Friday's were a little more understanding.
Brewers fan Quentin Prince told TODAY'S TMJ4, "It may bum a lot of people out because he's not going to be there. But understanding the issues he's dealing with right now. They might understand because we have a pretty good fan base with the Brewers."
Braun is working through the appeals process of his positive test for a banned substance. So the Brewers decided he would stay on the bench for this weekend's fan fest.
Without mentioning Braun's appeal by name, the club said "...This is too sensitive a time in the confidential process for him to attend."
At the restaurant inside Miller Park -- one fan questions that play.
Brewers fan Anthony Brooks told TODAY'S TMJ4, "The fans are going to be for him or against him, so whether he's there or not shouldn't make any difference."
There is no word on when a decision will be handed down in Braun's appeal, or -- if that decision has already been made. If denied, Braun could sit out as many as 50 games.
