Group files complaint over school bonuses
BALDWIN, Wis. (AP) -- Two groups have filed a formal complaint against the Baldwin-Woodville School District after its board gave $500 Christmas bonuses to 200 employees.
The Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty and CRG Network, both of Milwaukee, said the school board in St. Croix (KROY) County violated the open meetings law when it met in closed session Dec. 19 to grant the bonuses.
The Journal Sentinel says the complaint asks the St. Croix County district attorney and the state Attorney General to investigate.
