FRANKLIN- There are people among us who have been wishing for a snow day like the one Thursday. People for whom 4 to 6 inches of snow are not enough and Thursday night -- they are in heaven.
Wednesday -- Whitnall Park was just a hill, but Thursday, a sledding Mecca.
One couple -- who got a shiny new sled for Christmas enjoyed it very much. "I'm loving it, I'm loving it. I'm ecstatic about it," said Joe Nowak.
Ariel and Ana are so serious about snow -- they brought sleds and snowboards.
Meanwhile, Leanne Taylor says the girls got jittery with excitement starting Wednesday night. They second they got home Thursday-- they wanted to head right back out.
"We were all ready to get out here, soon as school got over. We got snowboards and boots and are ready to go," said mom Leanne Taylor.
While the kids may be loving this, mom is another story. She's enjoying another Wisconsin winter pastime -- complaining about the weather. "The wind could go away, the snow can stay, the wind can go away," said Taylor.
Milwaukee County parks are ready for almost every kind of winter fun you can imagine. From ice skating at Red Arrow Park -- to cross country skiing. Trails will be groomed Friday at Whitnall and Brown Deer Parks.
