MILWAUKEE - It's been an awfully long time since people have needed their snow shovel or salt supply, but it's time to find it, or buy it.
Shovel and salt sales are booming.
Things had been slow for many snow blower repair shops and hardware centers, until the impending snowfall of Thursday.
Customers filled stores to stock up on salt, shovels and winter gear as they heard about the first chance for actual accumulating snow.
"Need a new shovel. The old one wore out. It's Wisconsin."
Stores were expecting to stay busy as we head into the weekend.
