Pulaski H.S. criticized for controversial song choice at Rose Bowl
PULASKI- The superintendent of Pulaski schools says there were no politics at play during the high school's Tournament of Roses Parade performance Monday.
The Red Raiders belted out the song "Union Maid" in what some are calling a jab at Governor Walker's policies.
The district's Superintendent Mel Lightner says the tune is a tribute to the band director's grandmother and nothing more.
On Tuesday, the website The Daily Kos claimed the song had a hidden agenda, citing the lyrics to that song.
