MILWAUKEE - On a day where hundreds of Occupy Milwaukee protesters closed a bridge on a major north side street, the city's mayor expressed mixed feelings about their efforts.
Mayor Tom Barrett told TODAY'S TMJ4 that he believed the protests reflect important societal concerns, but wasn't happy with the method protesters chose: closing North Avenue during rush hour.
"The group raises legitimate issues about wealth and inequality in America, and that is a real issue, but the people whose lives they're disrupting are people who are trying to pick up their kids from day care, or people who are trying to get home from work."
Sixpeople were arrested during the protests on Thursday.
