MILWAUKEE - Multiple waterspouts developed off the Lake Michigan shoreline late Saturday morning.  The funnel clouds were visible from the Hoan Bridge and southern Milwaukee County.  No severe weather alerts were issued.

"Waterspouts are similar to tornadoes over water," according to a description posted online by the National Weather Service.  "Fair Weather waterspouts are usually a less dangerous phenomena, but common over South Florida’s coastal waters from late spring to early fall. "
