Vote on special prosecutor Monday in Mayor Ryan case
SHEBOYGAN - The Sheboygan Common Council was expected Monday night to take a final vote on the hiring of a special prosecutor for the removal process involving Mayor Bob Ryan.
Former U.S. Attorney Steven Biskupic has been recommended for the job.
Biskupic would investigate two official complaints against Ryan which stem from his public drinking binges.
The council has already approved hiring two attorneys and a city administrator to reduce the mayor's authority.
There is also a separate recall effort underway.
Ryan has repeatedly refused to resign.
Monday's meeting has been scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at City Hall.
