13 people shot at Chicago park, including 3-year-old
CHICAGO (AP) -- Chicago police say they're still searching for whoever opened fire on a park on the city's southwest side, injuring 13 people.
Investigators said Friday morning they believe Thursday night's shooting was gang-related. They still haven't made any arrests in the attack that injured a 3-year-old boy and two teenagers.
The preschooler was taken to Mt. Sinai hospital in critical condition after he was shot in the cheek. Hospital officials said Friday that he was a patient there, but couldn't provide an update on his condition. A 15-year-old boy was shot in the arm and 17-year-old girl was shot in the foot.
The shooting was reported around 10 p.m. Thursday. One witness said dreadlocked men opened fire from a car, but police didn't say how many suspects they were searching for.
