Alderman says Sheboygan should move on from Ryan controversy
SHEBOYGAN - A Sheboygan alderman says the controversy with the city's mayor has gone on too long.
Alderman Don Hammond spoke with Newsradio 620 WTMJ's Gene Mueller about the letter Mayor Bob Ryan sent to common council members.
The letter threatened to expose the drinking habits of common council members if they proceed with his removal.
"I don't know what my drinking habits have anything to do with his conduct in Elkhart Lake on that weekend," Hammond told Wisconsin's Morning News."
Hammond says enough is enough.
"The city is taking action that no other city is taking before with a city mayor. I think we've done due notice to those complaints. It think it's time to move on and focus on economic development and some of the other issues the city has going forward."
