Authorities, fans prepare at Lambeau
GREEN BAY - With hours to kickoff, fans in Green Bay are really starting to show their spirit.
One fan from Menomonee Falls drives to Green Bay for every Packers event. Bruce Roehsner has been a Packer fan since the Ice Bowl, “I was a teenager back then and that’s when I got hooked on those championship years so it’s been a lot of fun.”
Decked out from head to toe in his home-made 1921 jersey, he's hard to miss.“This is something that nobody else has. Take a lot of pictures with the kids, I’m like the second fiddle of St. Vince.”
Roehsner practically bleeds green and gold, but he's never seen Title Town look quite like this, “It’s huge for the smallest market team in sports to stage this event just says a lot of good things about the people of Green Bay and Wisconsin.”
Roehsner is glad that all this excitement is back in Green Bay along with the Lombardi trophy itself. And he's not the only one.
Former Title Town legend Willie Davis was in town signing autographs today, “It’s home, it’s where it should be, you say that but it’s a challenge.”
A challenge to keep it here in Wisconsin but Roehsner has faith, “This is a good kick off this year, I don’t think anything’s going to top this.”
Maybe another Superbowl win.
