Man arrested after allegedly posting threat of shooting spree
APPLETON - A man from Appleton has been arrested for allegedly posting in an online chat room that he was planning a shooting spree in Appleton.
The post was put up Wednesday on a site for a radio station based in New York.
The man reportedly requested a song by the group Megadeth called "Killing Is My Business and Business Is Good."
The station called police in Wisconsin and they were monitoring when the song played a little while later.
The man then allegedly wrote, "Thanks. Great song to go postal to and kill a bunch of people."
Police tracked the man's computer and arrested him a short time later.
They say he didn't give a reason for making the threat.
