MILWAUKEE- Today marks the beginning of the Milwaukee Hmong Community New Year.
The city's Hmong Consortium celebrates this tradition at the Wisconsin Exposition Center at the State Fair Grounds. The event is Saturday from 8 until midnight, and Sunday 8-5 p.m.
Entry costs $5 on Saturday and $3 on Sunday. Parking is $5.
About 20,000 people are expected to attend. Attractions include 85 vendors, entertainment, a talent show and pageant, and traditional cultural demonstrations.
