What to watch for
when Packers have
the ball:
Brett Favre should be able to spread the ball around. The Packers will use the passing game to set up the run. Look for the Packers to keep doin' what they're doin', using every weapon in the passing attack. Donald Lee.   He's been sort of an x-factor. The pigskin in the air...a lot. Favre's quick release aerial scheme will negate Dallas' pass rush, possibly the best in football. Favre not having one of those games where he throws three picks and one gets pick-sixed.
What to watch for
when Cowboys have
the ball:
If Patrick Crayton and Jason Witten can get free, they will cause trouble. Watch out for TE Jason Witten.  Gates, Gonzalez and Shockey have all had success against the Packers LB's and safeties. Look for Dallas to spread the field out a bit and utilize Jason Witten down the seam.  The Packers blitzing on non-passing downs.  Getting to Romo to throw him off. Dallas will run, run, run, breaking things up with dinks and dunks to Jason Witten. The Cowboys will target the safeties with Jason Witten, padding his Pro Bowl resume. Jason Witten.  T.O. may make the big plays but Witten is a favorite target to keep the chains moving.
Key Packer Ryan Grant.  The Packers will need him to wear down the Cowboys fierce front seven. Nick Collins or Aaron Rouse.  Neither will be completely healthy and will need help to cover Witten. Charles Woodson.  If the toe is really hurting, cut it off!  We need this guy. Charles Woodson.  Can he play and if so, how effectively? Any wide receiver. Ryan Grant.  Screens, draws and cut-back running can slow down the Dallas pass rush. Brett Favre.  If he avoids turnovers like he has all year, the Packers are in a good position to win.
Key Cowboy Demarcus Ware.  He's got nine sacks and if he can get in Favre's face it will be a long night. Jason Witten.  See above. Tony Romo.  A younger player in a big game...will he panic?

Marc Columbo.  He'd keep Aaron
Kampman from getting to Romo.

Jason Witten. Tony Romo (think early Favre).  Is he the near-perfect '96 Brett, or the '93 Favre that throws picks? Anybody in the Cowboys' secondary.  Get picks on Favre and you put yourself in a very good spot.
Key Matchup Al Harris vs. Terrell Owens.  Harris will need another lockdown performance for the Packers to win. The lines of scrimmage.  DeMarcus Ware and Greg Ellis will be tough matchups .  The Packers defensive front has put pressure on QB's. Nick Collins, Aaron Rouse, or occasional LB on Jason "Stinkin" Witten Al Harris vs. Terrell Owens, though the best defense against Dallas is a good offense. Jason Witten vs. whoever the poor soul is who's trying to cover him. Al Harris vs. Terrell Owens.  One to two less big plays from T.O.  Packers WR's vs. Roy Williams.  They will carve Williams up like a prime Texas steer. Al Harris vs. Terrell Owens.  Limit T.O.'s big plays in the game, and you can beat 'dem Cowboys.
Prediction Dallas 38, Green Bay 31 Green Bay in a close game. Dallas 31, Green Bay 27 Dallas 24, Green Bay 17 Dallas 35, Green Bay 31 Green Bay 38, Dallas 35 Dallas 34, Green Bay 31
Why? Look for Dallas to get out to an early lead and the put the heat on Favre.  More I'll take the expreinced Favre over Tony Romo in a tight ball game. I think the elusiveness of Tony Romo will be a problem for the Packers.  Romo moves around like a pregnant fox in a forest fire. All of the stats and home field lean towards the Cowboys.  More The Cowboys will dominate time of possession and the Packers will score their share of points, but not enough.  More Favre is less mistake-prone than Romo, and Brett's pulled two '07 comebacks in tough road locales.  A Crosby final-gun FG wins it. More The Cowboys' one-two punch at RB will be enough to give the Cowboys the victory.
