TOWN OF HERMAN - An elderly woman is dead and four people are injured after a tour bus and a semi crashed in Dodge County Saturday night.

It happened just after 7 p.m. Saturday in the Town of Herman, five miles west of Allenton.

The accident involved a semi truck and tour bus. The bus flipped twice after the semi driver failed to yield to the bus at the intersection of Highway 33 and Highway P.

Two people were in the truck, the driver, and a female passenger. They were both airlifted to the hospital.

Sheriff Todd Nehls says there were only three people on the Rite Way bus, the driver, and two female passengers.

Passenger Janet Wickert, 75, of Milwaukee died in the crash.

The other passenger, 75-year-old Patricia Kidd of Milwaukee, was taken to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa.

The bus driver, John Olshanski, 52, of Milwaukee was transported to St Josephs Hospital in West Bend.

While the crash scene was bad, the sheriff says it could have been much worse if the bus was full of people.

The driver of the semi, Kellie Bridges, 30, of Norcross, Georgia and the passenger in the semi, Shomari Jackson, 30, of Atlanta, were taken to Froedtert Hospital.

The highway was closed for more than 6 hours.
