GREEN BAY - Nothing was going to stop fans in Green Bay from celebrating a Super Bowl victory.
They lined Packerland Drive, Hazelwood Lane, and Lombardi Avenue as the Packers’ buses wound their way through Titletown.
The end of the parade route meant the end of a very special birthday for Rachel Musuracha of Oak Creek.
“It’s probably my best birthday present ever and I just turned 12 and Aaron Rodgers is my favorite player so it was amazing,” she said.
Rachel, her mom and her brothers waited along this parade route, watching the Packers buses make their way through green bay.
“There were a couple thousand probably. People were out in the street and they were keeping us back and it was so much fun!,” Rachel’s mom said.
Thousands of fans lined the streets in a sea of green and gold. They craned their necks for a chance to see their favorite players. Several streets were shut down as the city of Green Bay went into full Packers mode.
The Musuracha’s followed the buses all the way to Lambeau to cheer the players on even more. It’s not just a great birthday party for Rachel, it’s seeing part of history.
“We have to do this. This is tradition. This is what it’s all about.”
