Troops from Wisconsin serving overseas were able to watch their Packers play in the Super Bowl.
The military beamed the game by satellite to dining halls, recreation facilities and tactical operations centers overseas so the troops could watch the NFL's biggest game.
"It's an opportunity to get together as a group and celebrate something that is cool for everyone," says Wisconsin National Guard Spokeswoman Lt. Col. Jackie Guthrie.
"Even if you're not a football fan anyone here in Wisconsin has to admit that the frenzy is kind of exciting and it's great to be part of that team."
There are just under 1,000 Wisconsin Guard Soldiers and Airmen currently serving on active duty, mostly in Iraq.
