Storm Team 4: Shoppers Stock Up
MILWAUKEE - Shoppers stocked up Monday night to avoid having to head out in what could become a blizzard.
The aisles were packed at Pick and Save on Holt Avenue on Milwaukee's South Side. Shoppers stocked up on comfort food. The frozen pizza section was cleaned out.
Justine Foti filled her cart with everything she'd need to make a big pot of chili and to be home with her kids and her mother for at least 2 days. She said her plan for the storm was, "stay in the house. Not go out at all."
Next door, Home Depot was also busy. Customers bought snowblowers as fast as the staff could put them together. By Monday night the store had sold out of roof rakes and ice melt.
