MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Milwaukee Archbishop Jerome Listecki has turned his back on his beloved Chicago Bears in the name of deep dish pizza.

He is betting against them for Sunday's NFC championship game with the Green Bay Packers at Soldier Field. Listecki is a Chicago native and life-long Bears fan. He bet Chicago Archbishop Francis George a cheese basket if the Bears win.

If the Packers win, George will send Listecki a Chicago-style deep-dish pizza.

Wisconsin-based Sargento Foods Inc. -- the official cheese of Lambeau Field -- has offered the cheese.

In a statement, Listecki says he can't promise he's a Packer fan for life but he's rooting for the Packers this week.

Archdiocese spokeswoman Gillian Lester-George says Listecki loves deep dish pizza.
