There's Plenty to do This New Years
MILWAUKEE - There won't be any fireworks this year at Red Arrow Park in Milwaukee, but the show will still go on. This is one hot place to be on New Years Eve.
As of Friday morning, people were already enjoying everything red arrow park has to offer. The zamboni was up early and out on the ice at Red Arrow Park preparing for a busy day.
"If you're going to live in wisconsin, get out and enjoy it," Parks Director Sue Black told us.
The party at Red Arrow goes until two o'clock in the morning. It's an inexpensive way to ring in the new year. "If you have your own skates it's free if you don't you can rent them there," Black said.
The Harlem Globetrotters will perform once again at the Bradley Center. The zany basketball troupe is perfect for people of all ages.
The Betty Brinn Children's Museum will be open until 5 pm.
And a little bit later the annual new years eve celebration at the Mitchell Park Domes will begin. "For tonight i would really encourage everyone to go to the domes from 630 -10pm. It's a really family oriented event. It's going to be fantastic," said Black.
You can see live music, magic and comedy shows. "we're hoping everyone goes out and really enjoys it," Black said.
The County Parks Department says there won't be any fireworks tonight because the Marcus Center is hosting a concert and logistically they can't do both.
