Click here to listen to Newsradio 620 WTMJ's Chris Lato report on Alderman Michael McGee, Jr.'s attempt to win re-election from behind bars.
He's still wearing a jailhouse jumpsuit, but that's not stopping Milwaukee Alderman Michael McGee.
Sources tell Today's TMJ 4 that McGee is laying the groundwork for his re-election bid, even as he remains behind bars pending trial on a variety of state and federal felony charges.
Some of his colleagues, including Alderman Bob Donovan, are skeptical.
"That's up to the voters of his district, but you get the representation you deserve," Donovan said.
But some constituents like Tequila Morton are ready to send McGee back to City Hall.
"Everyone makes mistakes, and everyone deserves a second chance," Morton stated.
McGee has until January 2nd to formally throw his hat into the ring.
