MILWAUKEE (AP) -- A woman has filed a civil lawsuit against a secretary of state candidate in Wisconsin, accusing him of getting her pregnant while she was too intoxicated to consent to sex.

Charlette Harris, who says she's a lesbian, alleges that David King got her drunk during a lunch while both worked for a New Berlin-based costume distributor and then took her to his home on Aug. 26.

The lawsuit, filed Tuesday in Milwaukee County, includes claims for battery, violation of privacy, intentional infliction of emotional distress and negligent supervision, on the part of the distributor, BuySeasons.

Messages and e-mails sent to King and BuySeasons weren't immediately returned Thursday. But King told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel the lawsuit was ridiculous and a plot against his campaign.
