TOWN OF ERIN - Washington County Sheriff's closed Highway 83 near Highway Q in the Town of Erin for a portion of Friday morning after a crash that left two people injured.

The crash happened at about a little before 7 Friday morning.  The road was closed for hours while authorities reconstructed the crash.

The Washington County Sheriff's Department says Emily Bennett, a 16-year-old girl from Hartford, was driving south on State Highway 83.  The girl's car crossed the center line and hit another car coming north.  Deputies say after the crash, both cars went into the ditch and then flipped over.

Jake Trimberger, A 22-year-old man from the Town of Polk who was driving the second car had to be extricated from his car and was taken to Froedtert Hospital by Flight for Life.  The 16-year-old was taken to Harftord Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators say it doesn't appear that a cell phone, alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.  They're not sure why the girl crossed the center line.
