SHEBOYGAN - The Sheboygan County District Attorney's Office charged a man suspected in a deadly bar shooting with first degree intentional homicide Thursday.

Frank Hvizdak, 63, is charged with shooting Jason G. Tenpas, 31, to death at Racers Hall in Sheboygan Falls on Tuesday night.

Witnesses told police that Hvizdak and Tenpas were "bickering" on an outside patio, but "were not yelling at each other and...the Defendant suddenly pointed the gun at Jason."

According to a criminal complaint, one of Tenpas' friends "heard three shots and stated that Jason didn't make a sound at the first shot, but moaned at the second, both of which were body shots, and that the Defendant then shot Jason in the head."

The friend "tackled the Defendant with the Defendant saying 'I didn't do it,' and held the Defendant down on the deck until police arrived."

If convicted, Hvizdak faces a maximum sentence of life in prison without the possibility of extended supervision.
