Authorities Make Arrest in Deadly Bar Shooting

SHEBOYGAN FALLS - One man is dead, another is in custody after a deadly shooting outside a bar.

It happened shortly after eleven Tuesday night outside of the Racer's Hall Tavern.

"The victim had been shot multiple times," said Captain David Adams with the Sheboygan County Sheriff's Department.

Adams says a 63-year old Glenbeulah man shot 31-year old Jason G. TenPas of Cascade to death on the outside deck connected to the tavern.

"A deputy located a 63-year old male being held down on the deck by a male individual and also observed a 31-year old male that was deceased by multiple gun shot wounds," he said.

Some witnesses claim the argument started over politics, but TenPas's close friend disputes that.

"Do we know how this started, why this started," asked reporter Jay Olstad.

"I won't comment on that," replied Adams.

The suspect was taken to the hospital for minor injuries because witnesses tackled him to the ground after the shooting.

The bar owner believes the alleged shooter was the president of the tavern's pool league and says he was generally a good guy.

Now that man sits in jail on a possible charge of first degree intentional homicide.
