Firefighters Respond to Building Near 2nd and Wisconsin Avenue
MILWAUKEE - Firefighters have put out a fire in a building near 2nd and Wisconsin in downtown Milwaukee. The building houses Kaplan University on the first floor and IRS offices on other floors.
People were evacuated from the building. Workers say they noticed smoke as they were leaving. No one was hurt
It appears the fire was electrical in nature, starting on the 4th floor and spreading up from there.
Firefighters closed a portion of Wisconsin Avenue as they dealt with the situation.
