SOMERS, Wis. (AP) -- Chancellors at 10 University of Wisconsin campuses have been awarded salary raises ranging from $6,000 to $10,500 apiece.
The raises were approved Thursday in a closed session of the UW System Board of Regents. The total amount is $80,000.
The largest raise went to Joseph Gow of UW-La Crosse. His salary increases 5.3 percent, from $200,000 to just over $210,000. UW-Milwaukee Chancellor Michael Lovell got a $10,000 raise, or 3 percent, to $343,500.
Also receiving raises were the chancellors at campuses in Green Bay, Oshkosh, Parkside, Platteville, River Falls, Stout, Superior and Whitewater.
Those who didn't get a raise included the chancellors at Madison and Eau Claire, both of whom were hired in July.
The Madison chancellor, Rebecca Blank, is the highest-paid. She makes $495,000 per year.
