NEW BERLIN - One of the most popular Super Bowl snacks has a local restaurant stocking up on staff and chicken.

"This Sunday, we anticipate selling over 3,000 pounds of chicken wings," said Dane Pierstorff, operations manager at Quaker Steak and Lube.

The restaurant in New Berlin will have extra staff taking, filling, and delivering orders for the big game.

"The biggest reason people go with chicken wings [for the Super Bowl] is because you can go with just about any flavor you want."

Managers started planning for the Super Bowl two months ago.

"The busiest time is projected to be between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.  It really depends on how early people want to get their wings and how early they want to start eating.  We generally see our biggest rush between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.," said Pierstorff.

Americans are expected to consume 1.2 billion chicken wings on Super Bowl Sunday.
