Goodbye old friend; history comes down at Radio City (with time-lapse video)

Many people at Radio City have probably never even paid much attention to it, but a little piece of our history is coming down - the short tower in our backyard.  For decades, there have been two towers behind our building, one about 300 feet, and the other more than 1,000 feet.  The short tower has stood for more than 70 years.  It was the original WTMJ-TV tower when the station went on the air in the early 40's.  We moved TV to the large tower shortly after.  Since then, the little tower has served little purpose.  It's too costly to maintain, so we're taking it down. | Time-lapse video
