Remarkable rescue saves Shawno man in Dodge County
A 53-year-old man from Shawano has been rescued safely after a large concrete block fell off part of the Lake Sinissippi Dam near Highway 60 and Highway E, and he was trapped Thursday afternoon.
Village of Hustisford Fire Chief Matt Pieper said at a news conference that the worker was extricated from under the concrete around 3:10 p.m., and that he is doing OK.
Pieper said construction crews were removing key components of the dam when part of it collapsed.
