Madison is Obama's first campaign stop Monday
MADISON - President Barack Obama was to wake up Monday morning in the Badger State. Thousands of people have lined up to seen him.
The President would start his final campaign day in Madison, as Air Force One landed in Madison at 3:00 a.m. Monday. Following a nap, he would make his campaign pitch.
At 5:00 a.m., crews were putting the finishing touches on the rally site, on Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard in Madison.
Crowds would be let in at 7:00 a.m. for the event, which would include rock music legend and noted Democratic supporter Bruce Springsteen.
Thousands lined up before those gates were opened at 7:00 a.m.
The President was set to speak between 9:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.
The event was to be free and open to the public, but people were asked to RSVP by clicking here.
