Ryan set to appear at Wisconsin events
MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Republican vice presidential hopeful Paul Ryan is scheduled to make a series of campaign stops in Wisconsin on Wednesday.
Ryan is expected to appear at events in Eau Claire and Green Bay in the morning and in Racine around mid-afternoon.
He was expected to visit GOP campaign offices in La Crosse and Hudson on Tuesday to thank volunteers for collecting donations for superstorm Sandy victims.
Ryan's stops come days before Vice President Joe Biden is scheduled to visit the state. Biden's itinerary calls for stops in Beloit and Superior on Friday.
Both President Barack Obama and Republican challenger Mitt Romney's campaigns see Wisconsin as one of nine battleground states that could tip the Nov. 6 election.
