Republicans energized, excited for November election following RNC
TAMPA, FL- There's a lot of excitement among Republicans following the end of the 2012 Republican National Convention (RNC).
"The energy over the last few weeks has intensified and ever since Paul Ryan come on the ticket we seen a big increase in energy," said Mitt Romney's son Josh to TODAY'S TMJ4's Charles Benson.
Republicans believe with Paul Ryan on the ticket, the GOP can win Wisconsin for the first time since Ronald Reagan.
"I encouraged him (Ryan) to spend as much time in the state and asked the Romney campaign for (Ryan) to spend as much time in the state and Romney for that matter," said Wisconsin delegate Steve King to TODAY'S TMJ4. "I think it is winnable but we can not take it for granted."
The RNC came to a close for Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney, but the search for Republican votes continues.
A recent Reuters/Ipsos poll shows Mitt Romney leading 44 percent to 42 percent over President Obama nationally -- citing a recent bounce from the Republican National Convention. A recent Rasmussen poll had Romney and Obama tied at 45 percent; A new Gallup poll had Obama up on Romney 47 to 46 percent.
