WTMJ/Brewers Fantasy Baseball
2008 Official Contest Rules
1. Participants must be 21 years of age or older. No purchase necessary.
2. Employees and their immediate families of Journal Broadcast Group, any subsidiary of Journal Communications, Inc., Sentry, Midwest Airlines and their families, are not eligible to win.
3. For a chance to win, listen to Newsradio 620 WTMJ at 8:20 a.m., 11:20 a.m., and 5:20 p.m. from February 11-22, 2008, for the announcer to select a specific caller number. If you're the correct caller, you'll be asked to guess whether the following play will be called a "hit" or an "out". Then Bob Uecker's play-by-play scenario is aired. If your play call is correct, you will be qualified to win the WTMJ Brewers Fantasy Baseball Grand Prize - a trip-for-two to see the Brewers in Spring Training at Maryvale Baseball Park in Phoenix, Arizona. Then on Friday, February 22nd at 5:20 p.m., the Fantasy Baseball Grand Prize Winner will be randomly selected from all qualifiers and announced by Jonathan Green during The Green House. One (1) trip-for-two will be awarded during the on-air promotion of Fantasy Baseball. All contest players will receive two tickets to the Milwaukee Brewers vs. Florida Marlins game on Saturday, April 26th at Miller Park. Value: 52
4. The WTMJ Brewers Fantasy Baseball Grand Prize winner will receive roundtrip airfare for two from Milwaukee to Phoenix, Arizona, hotel accommodations at the Ritz Carleton, and game tickets to Friday, March 7 vs. Texas Rangers and Saturday, March 8 vs. Kansas City Royals, to see the Brewers in Spring Training. Amenities include: Thursday Welcome reception, training gift, ground transportation, continental breakfast at hotel, and tickets to the tailgate party. Travel to take place March 6-9, 2008. Prize package value: $2,900.
5. For a chance to win a trip to Spring Training, complete an entry form from the Sentry circular ad distributed in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel on Sunday, Feb 10. or Sunday, Feb 17. Then return the completed entry form at any participating Sentry store by Friday, Feb.22, 2007 at 12 midnight. One Grand Prize winner will be randomly selected from all entries received at Sentry stores during this time period. One (1) Grand Prize winner will be selected on Feb. 26th by 5:00pm and notified by phone. The Sentry Grand Prize winner will receive a trip-for-two to Phoenix, Arizona, from Milwaukee including roundtrip airfare, hotel accommodations for three (3) nights, and two tickets to the Milwaukee Brewers vs. Texas Rangers at Maryvale Baseball Park on March 7and two tickets to the Milwaukee Brewers vs. Kanasas City Diamondbacks game at Maryvale Baseball Park on March 8. Prize package value: approximately $2,100
6. All prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for other prize/merchandise. Winners will be issued a 1099 tax form based on prize package value and is responsible for any taxes and additional costs not described as prize.
7. One winner per household for the run of the contest.
8. Odds of winning are dependent upon the number of callers and entries received at participating Sentry stores. Neither WTMJ nor any affiliate of Journal Communications, Inc. shall be responsible for misdirected calls.
9. Social security number is required for acceptance of prize.
10. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission to the sponsor, radio station, and its agencies to use the winners name and/or likeness for the purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation.
11. The decision of the judges is final.
12. WTMJ-AM reserves the right to end this promotion or vary prizes at any time without prior notice.
13. Any potential grand prize winner must sign an affidavit of eligibility/prize acceptance form and liability/travel release within 2 days of notification. Non-compliance with this time period may result in disqualification and an alternate winner may be selected.
