These ladies are awesome
By John Mercure Archived Content
Last month after discussing it on the air several times, I went to a Brew City Bruisers bout at the US Cellular Arena. The Bruisers are Milwaukee's Ladies Professional Roller Derby team. It was awesome. The energy and intensity surprised me. One member of the Crazy Eights team, Zotay, just dominated. She kicked some serious tail. The next week when we discussed a couple of the Bruisers coming on the show, I said, "Yes. Absolutely, but only if we can get Zotay on." Well today Zotay and her buddy, Terror Lapinski were on our show. It was a blast. They have a bout tomorrow night, Saturday. Check it out. And listen to the segment on our podcast page.

My stomach is doing somersaults
By John Mercure Archived Content
I am a nervous wreck. We have worked so hard all week that there wasn't much time to think about the big game without being distracted by NFL Hall of Famers, Hollywood Stars, or models. Now it is almost here and I have butterflies. I don't bet nervous doing live Tv or a big radio show, but I do get nervous when the Pack has a big game. And there is obviously none bigger than today.

This year was no exception. Academy Award winning actors, Superstars from other sports, and singers are all here trying to get a little piece of the action.

The Mercure Girls Have Made Their Choices
By John Mercure Archived Content
It's now official. My daughters Kierra and Aimee know where they will head off to college in the Fall. It's been six months of college visits, applications, deadlines, reference letters, and heartburn. The girls both were fortunate enough to get into the five schools they each applied to. I'm very proud of them. They worked their butts off in high school and I'm glad it's all working out for them.
